Compact SFF Business Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built for office environments that need reliable performance in a space-saving chassis. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, a USB keyboard and mouse, and a DVD-ROM drive ready for legacy media. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles standard business applications and multi-monitor setups without a discrete card.

Upgrade From Older Tower Workstations

This system replaces bulky towers with a 65 W hexa-core processor that reaches 4.60 GHz on turbo, delivering responsive multitasking for spreadsheets, ERP clients and video calls. The jump is worth it when your current fleet struggles with 64-bit workloads or lacks modern connectivity like the included 5 GHz-capable wireless dongle and Bluetooth. It fits on a shelf or behind a monitor where full-size cases cannot.

32 GB DDR4 And Dual-Drive Storage

The 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM configuration provides ample headroom for heavy browser sessions, virtual machines and large datasets without paging. A 512 GB M.2 drive holds the OS and active projects for fast boot and load times, while the 1,000 GB hard drive stores archives, backups and media libraries. Users running memory-hungry databases or creative suites may eventually want more RAM slots, and the SFF chassis limits internal drive expansion to the existing two bays.

Questions about this item

What form-factor and pin-count memory modules fit the M720s SFF?

The system uses DIMM 240-pin DDR4 UDIMM modules and ships with 32 GB installed.

How is the wireless card installed and what step is often missed?

The 5 GHz-capable wireless adapter is a USB dongle that plugs into any free USB port; the step people miss is inserting it before the first Windows boot so drivers load automatically.

Which storage devices may need replacement later and what are their capacities?

The 512 GB M.2 SSD and the 1 TB hard drive are the two drives that will eventually require replacement.
