Compact business desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor desktop built around an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8500 hexa-core processor running at up to 4.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD, DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and mouse, and Windows 10 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles display output.

Office users needing ready-to-run capacity

This configuration suits buyers who want a complete, quiet system for general productivity, web apps and multi-monitor desk work without adding parts. It is not for users who require a discrete graphics card, internal 3.5-inch drive bays, or a standard ATX power supply for future upgrades.

32 GB DDR4 memory installed

The system arrives with 32 GB of DDR4 UDIMM already populated across its DIMM slots. This amount covers heavy multitasking and large spreadsheet workloads in a single purchase. Buyers planning to expand beyond this capacity will need to replace modules rather than add to them.

Questions about this item

What size drive bay and SSD form factor does the M720s SFF case accept for storage expansion?

The SFF chassis includes a 2.5" bay that matches the installed 1 TB 2.5" SSD, so any additional drive must be a 2.5" unit.

How is the 32 GB DDR4 memory installed, and which step is often overlooked?

The 32 GB DDR4 UDIMM modules plug into the 240-pin DIMM slots; the step often missed is pressing each module down until the retention clips click on both ends.

What maintenance or replacement will the DVD-ROM drive need over time?

The DVD-ROM optical drive may eventually require replacement if the laser lens degrades or the tray mechanism fails after extended use.
