Compact SFF Desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s is a small-form-factor business desktop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running at 3.20 GHz with a 4.60 GHz turbo boost. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB M.2 SSD for the operating system, and a 1 TB hard drive for bulk storage. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, and a USB keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Office-Focused Buyers

This system suits offices and home workers who need a quiet, space-saving PC for productivity applications, web browsing, and multi-monitor setups using integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630. It is not for buyers who want more storage than the dual-drive layout provides or builders who need a second card for discrete graphics or specialised expansion. The SFF chassis limits internal upgrades to low-profile cards only.

Build Integration

The 65 W processor and integrated graphics keep power demands modest for a standard SFF power supply. Two DIMM slots support the installed 32 GB DDR4 configuration at 240-pin form factor. Front and rear USB ports plus a USB wireless dongle handling 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth free up rear I/O for displays and wired networking. A DVD-ROM drive is fitted for legacy media access.

Questions about this item

Does this desktop need a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse to operate?

The unit ships with a Lenovo USB keyboard and mouse included; a monitor is not included so you must provide your own display.

Will the Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive a legacy VGA monitor through the onboard video port?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 supports modern digital outputs; if your older monitor only has VGA you will need an active adapter or a discrete graphics card.

How can I verify the 512 GB M.2 SSD and 1 TB hard drive are both recognised after first boot?

Open Windows 11 Pro Disk Management or File Explorer — both volumes should appear with their full capacities listed.
