Built for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 is a 14.0" ultrabook with an FHD IPS touchscreen, Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor, 8 GB onboard DDR4 memory and a 4 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday workloads and external displays.

Verify your memory and port needs

Only one memory slot is free, so maximum capacity reaches 48 GB with a single module. Confirm your peripherals match the mix of USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 1.4b, RJ-45 Ethernet and 3.5 mm audio jack. Optional microSD, smart-card or WWAN slots vary by unit.

Durable chassis with flexible docking

The black or silver ThinkPad frame meets military-grade durability tests. Two USB-C styles and a side docking connector support desk setups without a proprietary dock. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth handle wireless links, while the 720p webcam and dual-array microphones cover conferencing.

Questions about this item

Does the T14 Gen 1 ship with everything needed to start working, or are there extra items I must buy?

The laptop includes an OEM AC adapter and has Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. The 8 GB DDR4 memory is soldered, with one free slot for expansion up to 48 GB. The 4 TB SSD is already fitted, so no extra storage purchase is required.

Should I pick the 8 GB / 4 TB configuration or look for a different memory and storage combination?

This unit comes with 8 GB onboard DDR4 at 2666 MHz and a single 4 TB M.2 2242 drive. If you need more RAM, one SO-DIMM slot is open for up to 40 GB extra. Storage is maxed at 4 TB unless you swap the drive.

What does the 4.40 GHz turbo speed actually deliver when I am editing video or running heavy spreadsheets?

The Core i7-10510U can hit 4.40 GHz on short bursts across its four cores, but sustained loads run closer to the 1.8 GHz base. Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory, so GPU-heavy tasks will rely on the 8 GB RAM pool unless you upgrade.
