Product Identity

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6 is a 14-inch ultrabook equipped with an 8th-generation Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 for display output.

Suitability

This laptop suits professionals who need a lightweight, non-touch machine for office productivity, web browsing and video conferencing via the built-in webcam. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card for gaming or 3D rendering, a touchscreen display, or storage capacity beyond the fitted 512 GB should consider other configurations.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that determines fit is the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620; it handles everyday visual tasks and external displays through HDMI or USB-C, but it cannot deliver playable frame rates in modern games or accelerate GPU-dependent creative workloads.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-C ports on this ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 6 charge my older phone that only supports 5 V charging?

Yes. The two USB-C ports support Power Delivery, so they negotiate voltage with the connected device and will safely deliver 5 V to an older phone.

How can I verify the Intel UHD Graphics 620 is active after installing Windows 10 Pro?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters, and confirm Intel UHD Graphics 620 is listed without a warning icon; the driver date should be recent.

Does the box include a USB-A to Ethernet dongle for wired networks?

No. The package contains the laptop, a 65 W USB-C power adapter, and documentation; a USB-A or USB-C Ethernet adapter must be purchased separately.
