Questions about this item

Does the i7-8650U with 16 GB DDR4 run hot or loud during all-day workloads?

The quad-core i7-8650U has a base speed of 1.9 GHz and can boost to 4.2 GHz, while the 16 GB DDR4 memory handles multitasking without extra modules. Integrated UHD 620 graphics keep thermal output modest for typical office tasks.

Which ports and cables do I need on hand to connect external displays and peripherals?

The laptop provides HDMI, two USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports (one always-on) and two USB-C ports that support Power Delivery and DisplayPort alt-mode for monitors and charging.

Will my older USB-A drives and HDMI monitor work without adapters?

Yes, two USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports accept legacy drives directly, and the HDMI output drives an external monitor natively. USB-C ports add DisplayPort alt-mode for newer displays.
