What the MEGABOOM 4 is

The Logitech Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 4 is a portable Bluetooth speaker finished in Raspberry Red. It delivers 360-degree sound through a pair of full-range drivers and passive radiators, reaching a maximum level of 85dBC. The IP67-rated enclosure is waterproof, dustproof and floats, while a rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 20 hours of playback at the default 42% volume setting.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This speaker suits listeners who want a rugged, grab-and-go unit for poolside, beach or outdoor use where floating capability and long battery life matter. The 147-foot wireless range adds flexibility for large spaces. Buyers who need a wired audio input, an integrated power bank for charging other devices, or a multi-room Wi-Fi ecosystem should look at alternative products that include those functions.

How it fits into your setup

The MEGABOOM 4 charges via a USB-C cable, which is not included in the box, so a compatible charger must be supplied separately. An attached bungee loop allows the speaker to be clipped to bags or rails, freeing up surface space. The Ultimate Ears BOOM app enables PartyUp pairing with other compatible Ultimate Ears speakers for wider stereo or surround configurations, and it supports one-touch playlist shortcuts on major streaming platforms.
