Adds a USB 3.2 20-pin Type-E header and a USB 2.0 port via a PCIe x2 card that fits x4, x8 and x16 slots
This PCIe adapter adds a USB 3.2 20-pin Type-E header and an extra USB 2.0 Type-A connector to a desktop front panel. It fits PCIe x2, x4, x8 or x16 slots and does not work in x1 slots. The card targets builders who need modern USB-C front-panel connectivity on motherboards lacking the native header.
The card replaces a missing internal USB-C header or supplements an older USB 2.0 front-panel connector. The jump is worth it when the case provides a USB-C port but the motherboard has no matching 20-pin header, or when faster 10 Gbps transfer is required for external drives.
The USB 3.2 header delivers up to 10 Gbps, comfortably handling high-speed portable SSDs and large file transfers. The additional USB 2.0 connector covers legacy peripherals. The adapter runs out when the motherboard only offers a PCIe x1 slot, which is not supported.

Yes, the card uses a full-profile bracket and is compatible with PCIe 2x, 4x, 8x, and 16x slots, but it does not work in a PCIe 1x slot.
Plug the motherboard's USB 3.2 20-pin header into the card's Type-E A-Key connector; ensure the keyed orientation matches before securing the bracket screw.
