Desk Grommet USB Hub

The LORDWORLD hub installs in a 2.36 inch grommet hole to keep three USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack within easy reach. It suits office workers and home users who want front-panel connectivity without sacrificing desk space. The hub draws power from an included 5 V 2 A adapter and works with Windows, Mac and Linux.

Three Ports and BC 1.2 Charging

Each USB 3.0 port supports up to 5 Gbps and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices. The hub is BC 1.2 compliant, so phones and tablets can charge at 5 V 2 A while data transfers continue. Bandwidth is shared across the three ports, so simultaneous large-file copies will run slower than a single transfer.

Passive Cooling and Silent Operation

The aluminium body dissipates heat without a fan, so the hub runs silently during normal use. Power consumption stays low because the hub only draws what connected devices require plus the adapter overhead. No active cooling means there is no fan noise to disturb calls or recordings.

Questions about this item

Will the hub's USB 3.0 ports work with my older USB 2.0 keyboard and mouse?

Yes, the hub remains backwards compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices, so older peripherals will function normally through the three USB 3.0 ports.

How can I verify the 3.5 mm audio and microphone jacks are working after I install the hub in the 2.36" desk hole?

Plug in a headset, play audio and record a short voice clip; clear playback and recording confirm the sound-card extension is active.

Does the package include the 5V/2A power adapter required for BC 1.2 charging, or must I buy it separately?

The 5V/2A power adapter is included, enabling BC 1.2 compliant charging right out of the box.
