Ready-to-use Cat 6 cable kit

This two-pack supplies 7 ft grey patch cables built to the Cat 6 standard with shielded construction and gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends. Each cable uses 100 % bare copper conductors and a snagless boot to protect the clip during repeated connections. The PVC jacket is rated for indoor, outdoor and direct-burial use.

Suits fixed installs needing short runs

The 7 ft length works well for desk-to-switch, console-to-router or camera-to-NVR links where longer cable would create slack. Buyers who need longer spans for whole-home wiring or rack-to-rack patches should look at something else. The shielded design helps in electrically noisy environments but adds stiffness compared with unshielded patch cords.

10 Gbps headroom to 55 m

Rated at 550 MHz bandwidth, the cable supports 10 Gbps up to 55 m and 1 Gbps up to 100 m, giving ample margin for gaming, 4 K streaming, VoIP and CCTV traffic. Beyond 55 m the 10 Gbps rate is not guaranteed, so very long single runs will drop to gigabit speeds.

Questions about this item

What devices must already have RJ45 ports to use this cable?

Any device with a standard RJ45 jack — router, switch, PC, PS5, Xbox, printer or CCTV recorder — will accept the gold-plated connectors on both ends.

Will the 550 MHz bandwidth work with older Cat 5e equipment?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible; it will negotiate the highest speed the linked ports support, up to 1 Gbps on Cat 5e gear.

How can I verify the link is running at 10 Gbps after installation?

Check the connection status on your router or PC — it should report a 10 Gbps link rate when both ends support that speed over the 7 ft run.
