LUOM Essager CGI27W USB-C to Lightning Cable

This two-pack of 3.3 ft blue cables connects a USB-C power source to any Lightning-equipped iPhone or iPad. Apple MFi certification and the latest C94 connector prevent compatibility warnings. The cables support PD fast charging up to 27 W and 3 A maximum current. Data transfers run at 480 Mbps for everyday syncing and backup tasks.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive copper conductors produce no audible noise and negligible heat during normal charging sessions. Power delivery scales with the attached PD charger, topping out at 27 W for compatible iPhone 14 Pro Max models and falling back to 25 W or 20 W where the source limits output. No active cooling or fan is involved, so operation stays silent in any environment.

Build quality and daily use

Nylon braiding and reinforced strain reliefs are rated to survive over 15000 bend cycles, reducing fray risk at the connectors. Soft rubber necks at each end improve grip when plugging and unplugging one-handed. The pack supplies a spare cable for a second location, though users needing USB-C to USB-C or longer lengths must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the USB-C end to a power source so the 27 W PD fast charge actually starts?

Plug the Type-C connector into any USB-C PD charger rated 27 W or higher; the cable then negotiates up to 3 A and delivers 27 W to the Lightning device.

After how many bends should I expect the nylon-braided cable to show wear?

The cable is tested to withstand over 15000 bends, so replacement is only needed if the connectors loosen or the braid frays after extended use.

What is the maximum data-transfer speed I will see when syncing an iPhone 14 Pro Max?

The cable supports 480 Mbps USB 2.0 data rates, so large backups will be limited to that ceiling even on newer iPhones.
