It handles video up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz with 18Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance. The unit requires the included DC5V power adapter to operate and supports 24, 30 or 36-bit deep colour formats.

Sustained Operation with External Power

Because the extractor draws up to 350mA from the supplied 5V/1A adapter, it maintains stable signal extraction over long cable runs without relying on source power. Input and output cables up to 10 metres using AWG26 standard HDMI leads are supported. The aluminium shell aids heat dissipation during continuous use with Blu-ray players, streaming sticks or gaming consoles.

18Gbps Bandwidth Decides Compatibility

The 18Gbps limit means the extractor passes 4K@60Hz RGB 4:4:4 and HDR but cannot carry the higher data rates required for 4K@120Hz or 8K signals. Buyers needing those refresh rates or resolutions must choose a different device. Audio formats supported include DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, LPCM 7.1, DTS and Dolby AC-3, though Dolby Digital Plus is not supported.
