100 ft fibre DisplayPort cable

This 100 ft fibre optic DisplayPort cable links a DP 1.4 source to a DP 1.4 display over long runs where copper cables lose signal. It is built for installers and enthusiasts who need a single cable through walls or across large rooms. The hybrid glass-fibre and copper construction carries video and audio without external power. Gold-plated male connectors resist corrosion during permanent installation.

32.4 Gbps bandwidth for 8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz

The cable delivers the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rate, handling 7680 x 3840 at 60 Hz and 3840 x 2160 at 144 Hz or 120 Hz. It also supports 3840 x 2160 at 240 Hz, 3440 x 1440 at 60 Hz and 2550 x 1440 at 60 Hz. Lower resolutions such as 1080p at high refresh rates fall within the same bandwidth envelope. The link will not support resolutions or refresh rates that exceed the 32.4 Gbps ceiling.

Passive optical design runs cool and silent

Because the optical fibres carry the high-speed data, the cable produces no measurable heat and requires no active cooling. The TPE jacket and triple shielding suppress electromagnetic interference without adding bulk. Power draw is limited to the small amount needed for the transceiver modules inside each connector. Operation remains silent in any environment.

Questions about this item

Will the 100 ft fiber cable drive my GTX 980 at 4K 120 Hz without signal loss?

The optical link is rated for 32.4 Gbps and supports 4K at 120 Hz and 144 Hz over the full 100 ft length, so a GTX 980 can run those modes if the card itself outputs them.

How can I verify the link is running at the full 32.4 Gbps after I plug it in?

Open your GPU control panel or monitor OSD and confirm the active resolution shows 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HDR10 enabled — those modes only appear when the HBR3 bandwidth is negotiated.

Does the box include both DisplayPort ends or do I need to buy a second connector?

The cable ships as a single 100 ft assembly with a male DisplayPort 1.4 connector on each end — no extra connectors or adapters are required.
