Core Specification

The MSI Vector A16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with 16 cores and 32 threads. It pairs this CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti discrete GPU carrying 12GB of GDDR7 video memory. The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 5600MHz and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Display and Connectivity

The 16.0" IPS panel delivers a 2560 x 1600 QHD+ resolution at a 240Hz refresh rate with 400 nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Wireless connectivity uses Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 via the MediaTek 7925 module. Physical ports include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two Thunderbolt 5 USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet, and a combo audio jack. A 90Wh battery and 330-watt adapter handle power.

Graphics Decider

The RTX 5070 Ti with 12GB GDDR7 VRAM is the single component that determines if this laptop fits your workload. It targets high-refresh 1440p gaming and GPU-accelerated content creation. Buyers needing more VRAM for 4K textures or large 3D scenes should look at configurations with 16GB or 24GB GPUs. Those only playing at 1080p may find a lower-tier GPU more cost-effective.
