Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 14" Rugged Laptop

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 is a 14.0" semi-rugged laptop built for field service, utilities and public safety teams who need MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F and IP65 certification. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 8GB of memory and a 128GB SSD. Integrated 4G LTE, GPS, a smartcard reader and a fingerprint reader support secure mobile workflows. A digitizer pen and power adapter are included.

Installation and Common Issues

The unit arrives as a complete system with battery, AC adapter and power cord, so deployment only requires user provisioning and driver updates for the Intel HD Graphics 5500 and wireless modules. The single-core processor limits multitasking with modern applications, and the 1366 x 768 non-touch display reduces clarity for detailed maps or schematics. Maximum memory supported is 16GB if a future upgrade is planned.

128GB SSD Storage Capacity

The 128GB solid-state drive determines whether this model suits your workload; it holds the operating system, drivers and a modest set of field apps but leaves little room for large offline map caches, image libraries or local databases. Buyers who need more storage should consider a different configuration. The DVD-ROM optical drive adds legacy media support but does not expand primary capacity.
