Heavy-duty legal file folders

The Pendaflex 95565 is a box of ten heavy-duty expansion file folders built for legal-size documents. Each folder uses acid-free 17 pt. red fiber stock and a straight-cut tab. The 5-inch expansion capacity handles thick project files or archived records.

High-volume legal filing

These folders suit offices, legal practices or home organisers that regularly store large legal-format document sets. The ten-folder pack supports bulk labelling and colour-coded systems. Buyers needing only a few folders or letter-size formats should look at smaller packs or different dimensions.

5-inch expansion capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 5-inch expansion depth. Measure the thickest file you plan to store; if it exceeds this depth the folder will not close properly. If your typical files are thinner, a slimmer expansion folder may use less shelf space.

Questions about this item

What size shelf or drawer depth does the 5-inch expansion require?

The folder expands to five inches, so allow at least that much clear depth in the drawer or on the shelf.

How do I load documents into the straight-cut tabs without misaligning them?

Insert papers flush against the straight-cut edge, then press the fold flat; the heavy-duty 17 pt. fiber holds the crease without curling.

Will the acid-free 17 pt. red fiber become brittle and need replacement?

Acid-free stock resists yellowing and embrittlement, so the folders remain serviceable for archival storage without scheduled replacement.
