Connects 1.8 inch Micro-SATA drives with Molex power and standard SATA data
The MSD-777 connects a 1.8 inch Micro-SATA drive to a standard SATA port while drawing power from a Molex connector. It suits technicians upgrading compact laptops, embedded boards or portable media players that use the PCB-side Micro-SATA interface.
Use this cable when the original flex or ribbon cable has failed or when adapting a 1.8 inch drive to a desktop dock. It is not for standard 2.5 or 3.5 inch SATA drives, nor for M.2 or eSATA-only enclosures.

The MSD-777 fits most 1.8 inch Micro-SATA interfaces on the PCB side.
Connect the Micro-SATA female end to the 1.8 inch drive PCB, the 7-pin SATA end to the host, and attach the Molex power input; the step often missed is plugging in the Molex connector for drive power.
