Seagate 2TB Portable USB 3.0 Drive

The Seagate STGX2000400 is a compact 2TB external hard drive built for users who need extra storage while travelling. It connects through a single USB 3.0 cable and requires no separate power adapter. The drive works with Windows and Mac computers as well as PS4 and Xbox consoles. No software installation is required for automatic recognition.

2TB Capacity for Media and Backups

Two terabytes provide room for large photo libraries, video collections and system backups. The USB 3.0 interface handles everyday file transfers and streaming without bottlenecking mechanical drive speeds. Very large multi-gigabyte files will take longer to move than they would on a solid-state device. The drive is not suited for running applications directly or for workloads demanding sustained high throughput.

USB-Powered Plug-and-Play Simplicity

An 18 inch USB 3.0 cable is included, so the drive draws all power from the host port and frees up a wall outlet. Automatic recognition on Windows means you can drag and drop files immediately after connection. Mac users may need to reformat for full write support. The portable form factor fits in a laptop bag, making it practical for off-site backups and content transport.
