Bidirectional HDMI switch routes two sources to one display or one source to two displays with push-button selection and LED indicators
This bidirectional HDMI switch routes signals between two sources and one display, or one source and two displays. Only one output is active at a time. It is designed for setups that need manual source selection without extra power supplies or drivers.
The unit draws power from the HDMI connection itself and runs silently with no fan. It supports bandwidth up to 3.4 Gbps and passes 1080p, 3D and 4K x 2K signals when used with HDMI 2.0 cables. With HDMI 1.4 cables the source must be set to 1920 x 1080.
This switch removes the need to unplug cables when changing between a console, PC or media player on a single screen, or when sending one source to either of two monitors. It does not drive two displays simultaneously, so it is not suited for dual-monitor extension.

Connect all devices with HDMI cables, then press the button on top to select the active source or display; the step people miss is using HDMI 2.0 cables for 4K sources, otherwise the signal falls back to 1080P.
No firmware or driver updates are required; only the HDMI cables may need replacing if they degrade or if you upgrade to a 4K source that demands HDMI 2.0 certified cables.
The 3.4Gbps bandwidth ceiling limits continuous throughput to 1080P at 60Hz; 4K signals at 4096x2160 exceed this rate and will not pass through reliably.
