What it is and who it is for

Smead 71111 expansion wallets come in a box of 10 red folders designed for legal-size documents. The double-thick front and back panels protect bulky paperwork during transport and storage. They suit offices, schools or home users who need durable, portable file organisation.

Capacity and headroom

Each wallet expands to 5.25 inches, providing substantial room for thick project files or accumulated records. The full-height Tyvek-lined gusset resists tears even when fully loaded. Overstuffing beyond the rated expansion will strain the elastic cord and reduce the wallet’s protective ability.

Bundled accessories and software

The scored flap and elastic cord closure are built into every wallet, keeping contents secure without separate fasteners. No additional dividers, labels or software are included in the box. Buyers who want colour-coded systems must purchase other colours separately.

Questions about this item

Will the Smead 71111 expansion wallet fit alongside standard legal-size folders in my existing filing cabinet?

Yes, the 5.25-inch expansion and legal-size format match standard cabinet rails, so it slides in with your current folders without needing extra hardware.

How can I verify the elastic cord closure on the 71111 wallet is holding documents securely after loading?

Stretch the elastic cord over the scored flap; the double-thick panels and fully-lined Tyvek gusset keep the wallet rigid, so a firm snap confirms the contents are locked in.

What does the 10-box of Smead 71111 wallets include, and are extra elastic cords or flaps sold separately?

The box contains ten complete red wallets, each with its own protective flap, elastic cord, and Tyvek-lined gusset; no additional parts are required for immediate use.
