TUFF Pocket File Pocket

The Smead 73380 is a heavyweight expanding pocket built for high-volume letter-size filing. Redrope stock and a fully lined Tyvek gusset give it tear resistance that stands up to daily office use. Each box contains 10 pockets ready for immediate organisation.

High-volume archival use

Suits departments that repeatedly stuff thick project files, legal bundles or multi-year records into a single pocket. The 3.5-inch expansion and reinforced top rollover handle bulk without splitting. Not suited for anyone needing only a few lightweight folders for occasional home filing.

3.5-inch expansion capacity

This single measurement decides whether the pocket fits your thickest working files. The gusset extends twice as far into the front and back panels as standard pockets, so the stated expansion is usable right to the edges. Manila lining provides a clean surface for hand-written or printed labels.

Questions about this item

Do I need a letter-size filing cabinet or drawer to use these 3.5-inch expansion pockets?

Yes, the pockets are sized for letter documents and require a compatible letter-size cabinet or drawer to fit properly.

Can I mix these Redrope pockets with standard manila folders in the same drawer without jamming?

The Tyvek-reinforced gussets extend twice as far as standard pockets, so they sit flush alongside regular folders and slide without catching.

How can I confirm the 3.5-inch expansion is fully usable after loading the pocket?

The fold-down front should lie flat against the gusset and the reinforced top rollover should show no strain when the pocket holds a full 3.5-inch stack.
