Letter-size expansion file pockets

These pockets hold letter-size documents and expand to 3.5 inches for bulky records. The box contains 25 pockets in assorted colors for quick visual sorting. Tear-resistant Tyvek gussets and fully enclosed sides protect contents during frequent handling. A drop-front panel allows easy access without removing the pocket from the drawer.

High-volume paper filing

Suited for offices that manage thick project files, client folders or archive boxes on open shelves. The 3.5-inch expansion handles hundreds of sheets per pocket. Not intended for binders, hanging-folder rails or fire-rated storage cabinets. Buyers who need legal-size pockets or individual tabs should look elsewhere.

3.5-inch expansion capacity

The single measure that decides fit is the 3.5-inch gusset depth, which determines how many sheets each pocket can hold. Verify your shelf or drawer depth can accommodate the fully expanded pocket. Model 73890 confirms the exact specification.

Questions about this item

Do I need a letter-size filing cabinet or shelf to store the 3.5" expansion pockets?

Yes, the pockets are sized for letter-format documents and require a cabinet drawer or open shelf that accepts letter-width folders.

Will the rollover gussets hold up if I keep older manila folders inside the same drawer?

The tear-resistant Tyvek gussets are reinforced at stress points, so they withstand daily contact with standard manila folders without splitting.

How can I confirm the 3.5" expansion is fully usable after I load the box?

Fill a pocket until the gusset stretches to its limit; the drop-front panel should still fold down smoothly and the bottom remains fully enclosed.
