Adds four U.2 NVMe ports through one PCIe 3.0 x4 or x8 slot for high-capacity storage arrays
This SMUGDESK riser card occupies a single PCIe 3.0 x4 or x8 slot and provides four independent U.2 connectors for NVMe solid state drives. It enables simultaneous operation of four drives at full Gen3 bandwidth without bottlenecks. The card uses an industrial-grade PCB with reserved heat dissipation area for stable multi-disk loads. Plug-and-play driver recognition works on mainstream Windows and Linux systems.
The card suits administrators expanding file servers, NAS appliances, workstations or storage arrays that need high-speed U.2 NVMe capacity in a single slot. It is not for systems lacking a free PCIe 3.0 x4 or x8 slot, nor for builders who require M.2 or other drive interfaces. The full-height bracket demands a chassis with standard bracket clearance.
Compatibility hinges on the host providing a PCIe 3.0 x4 or x8 slot; each of the four U.2 ports then delivers full NVMe speed over the Gen3 link. Without that slot type the card cannot be installed or will not operate at the rated bandwidth.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The card is designed for PCIe 3.0 x4 or x8 slots; it will physically fit in a PCIe 2.0 x8 slot but each U.2 port will run at Gen2 speeds instead of the full Gen3 bandwidth.
In Windows open Device Manager or run 'nvme list' in Linux; each drive should appear as a separate NVMe controller linked at PCIe 3.0 x1 per port.
The card ships as the expansion board with a full-height bracket only; U.2 cables and 2.5" drive trays or brackets are not included and must be sourced separately.
