Right-Angle Extension Cord for Tight Spaces

The StarTech.com PAC101R3 is a 3 ft flat extension cord that adds a right-angle NEMA 5-15P plug to an existing NEMA 5-15R connection. It lets builders route power cables flush against walls or behind furniture without blocking adjacent outlets on a strip or wall plate.

Rated 125V at 13A Over 16 AWG Conductors

The cord uses 16 AWG wiring certified for 125 volts and 13 amps, matching standard North American household circuits. Length is fixed at three feet, so voltage drop stays negligible for typical desktop or monitor loads but the cord cannot reach distant sockets.

Replaces Straight Plugs That Block Neighbouring

Swap a bulky straight plug for this low-profile right-angle version when furniture must sit close to the wall or when a power strip’s sockets are too tightly spaced. It does not add surge protection, extra length beyond three feet, or higher amperage for heavy appliances.

Questions about this item

What does the 3 ft length add to my existing cord?

The cord extends your current power cable by 3 ft while the right-angle plug lets the connection sit flat against the wall, so furniture can be pushed closer.

What does the 13 A rating mean for everyday use?

It supports up to 13 A at 125 V, which covers most household appliances and office equipment such as monitors, printers and desktop PCs.

How does the NEMA 5-15R to right-angle 5-15P connection work on a standard outlet?

The right-angle 5-15P plugs into a regular wall outlet or power strip, and the 5-15R accepts your device’s standard 5-15P plug, keeping the profile low.
