USB-C dual 3.5mm audio adapter

The StarTech USBC-AUDIO-SPLITTER converts a single USB-C port into two independent 3.5mm stereo jacks. Each jack supports microphone input and inline headset controls. A built-in 24-bit DAC handles audio at up to 192kHz sampling rate.

Suited for shared listening on USB-C devices

Ideal for two users sharing a laptop, tablet or phone during calls, training sessions or media playback. Not suited for devices that only offer USB-A ports or require a single combined headset jack. Buyers needing more than two outputs should look at a different solution.

2.8-inch integrated cable with strain relief

The attached 2.7in cable provides flexible positioning while reducing stress on the host port. Total adapter length is 4.50in and weight is approximately 19g. This fixed cable length determines reach and cannot be extended without an additional coupler.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.8-inch attached cable reach my laptop port without straining the 24-pin USB 2.0 Type C connector?

The 2.7-inch integrated cable with strain relief is designed to reduce tension on the USB-C male plug while keeping the 19-gram adapter close to the device.

Do I need to install drivers for the built-in 24-bit DAC before the dual 3.5mm jacks will pass audio and mic signals?

The adapter uses the operating system's native USB audio class driver, so it works immediately on supported laptops, tablets and phones without extra software.

How often should I replace the two mini-phone stereo audio sockets if I plug and unplug headsets daily?

The 3.5mm female ports are rated for thousands of insertion cycles; replace only if you notice crackling, loose fit or loss of microphone contact.
