Travel adapter for North American devices

This two-pack of TeKit plug adapters lets you connect equipment with a US NEMA 5-15R plug into standard European Schuko CEE 7 wall outlets. Each unit is rated for 10A at 250V and is coloured black. The set is intended for travellers or anyone powering North American devices in countries that use Type E or F sockets.

Simple insertion with a voltage caveat

Installation is a matter of pushing the adapter into the European outlet and then plugging your device into the NEMA 5-15R receptacle. No tools or wiring are required. The critical point is that this adapter does not convert voltage; it only changes the physical plug shape. If your device is not rated for both 110V and 240V operation, it can be damaged.

Voltage compatibility decides suitability

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the voltage rating of the equipment you plan to connect. Your device must already support the local supply voltage, typically 240V in Europe, because the adapter passes the mains voltage through unchanged. It is not for use in the UK, Italy or any location requiring a Type C plug.
