Three-way floorstanding design

The Triangle Borea BR08 is a three-way floorstanding speaker built for stereo and home-cinema systems that demand full-range output. Its 40 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response covers deep bass through to extended treble without a separate subwoofer. The 150 W power handling suits medium to large rooms and dynamic soundtracks. Buyers seeking compact bookshelf speakers or powered wireless models should look elsewhere.

92 dB sensitivity and 150 W handling

At 92 dB/W/m the BR08 plays loudly with modest amplifier power, keeping thermal load on the electronics low during extended sessions. The 150 W rating provides headroom for transient peaks in music and film without compression. No active cooling or fan noise is present, so the speaker remains silent when the music stops. Amplifiers with very low current capability may struggle at extreme levels.

EFS tweeter and cellulose midrange

The 25 mm silk-dome tweeter uses an Efficient Flow System phase plug to widen horizontal dispersion, reducing sweet-spot constraints across a typical seating area. A 100 % natural cellulose midrange cone adds no surface treatment, preserving vocal timbre. Dual rear-firing bass ports require a few centimetres of wall clearance for optimal low-frequency tuning. The Black Ash vinyl wrap resists light scratches and blends with traditional furnishings.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the speaker to my amplifier and what terminal detail is often overlooked?

Connect speaker cable to the rear binding posts, matching positive to positive and negative to negative; the removable bridges must stay in place for single-wire use.

What part of the BR08 is most likely to need attention after years of use?

The 25 mm silk-dome tweeter and cellulose midrange cones are built for long life; only the grille cloth may need occasional cleaning.

What limit will I hit first when playing loud for long periods?

The 150 W power handling and 92 dB sensitivity set the thermal and output ceiling before compression or distortion appear.
