Perfect for bulky adapters

This one-foot power extension cord adds a NEMA 5-15R receptacle to a standard NEMA 5-15P plug. It lets you connect large power bricks to a wall outlet or surge suppressor without covering the neighbouring sockets. The cable uses 16 AWG conductors rated for 13 amps at 120 volts and carries a UL listing. It is aimed at desktop users, home-office workers and anyone who needs extra clearance for oversized adapters. Not suited for runs that require more length or for devices that draw above the rated amperage.

Plug in and route

Installation is as simple as inserting the male plug into the outlet and the device into the female receptacle. The short, flexible SJT jacket bends easily behind furniture or along a power strip. The only common issue is attempting to daisy-chain several cords, which can exceed the 13-amp rating and create a fire hazard. Avoid running the cable under carpets or through pinch points where the insulation could be damaged.

Check your outlet and load

Before ordering, confirm the wall outlet or surge suppressor presents a standard NEMA 5-15R socket and that the equipment plug matches a NEMA 5-15P. Verify the total connected load stays within 13 amps at 120 volts. Ensure the one-foot reach is sufficient for the intended placement; longer runs will need a different cable. The cord is black and rated for indoor use only.
