DP 1.2 to DVI active converter

The Tripp Lite P134-06N-DVI-V2 is a compact 6-inch active adapter that links a DisplayPort 1.2 source to a DVI-I display. It supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and 1080p while transmitting audio. Gold-plated connectors provide reliable signal transfer. No drivers or software are required for operation.

Suitable for single and dual-mode outputs

This converter handles both Single-Mode and Dual-Mode (DP++) DisplayPort signals, making it useful for a wide range of graphics cards and laptops. It is not suited for users who need a passive cable or those requiring resolutions beyond 1920 x 1200. Buyers with only standard HDMI or VGA ports should look elsewhere.

Six-inch cable length defines reach

The fixed 6-inch tail determines how far the DVI display can sit from the DisplayPort output. Measure the gap between your ports before purchasing to ensure the short length is adequate. Longer distances will require a separate extension cable.

Questions about this item

Will the active circuitry inside the P134-06N-DVI-V2 need replacement after extended use?

The adapter has no user-serviceable parts; it is a passive-active cable assembly designed to last the life of the connection.

What resolution ceiling appears first when driving a display all day through the DisplayPort 1.2 link?

The converter supports HD video up to 1920 x 1080, so that resolution is the practical limit for sustained output.

Does the 6-inch adapter generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during continuous operation?

Gold-plated connectors and plug-and-play design keep power draw minimal and heat output negligible in normal use.
