3U Rack Fan Tray with Temperature Display

The Tripp Lite SRFAN3UDCTEMP occupies 3U of 19-inch rack space and integrates two 12 V DC fans that deliver 169 CFM of airflow. A built-in digital sensor and LCD panel show real-time temperature readings at the top of the cabinet. The unit ships with a 12 V DC power supply, a six-foot cord ending in a NEMA 1-15P plug, and all mounting hardware. It is designed for server and switch enclosures that need active cooling and local temperature monitoring.

Verify Rack Space and Power Before Ordering

Confirm the cabinet has a free 3U opening and a standard 19-inch mounting width. The tray requires a 120 V AC, 60 Hz outlet for the included power supply; the NEMA 1-15P plug fits a standard North American receptacle. Ensure the six-foot input cord can reach that outlet without strain. The enclosure must also allow front-to-rear airflow so the 169 CFM rating can be achieved.

Blanking Panel and LCD Change Daily Operation

The integrated blanking panel seals the 3U opening, forcing air through the fans and preventing hot-spot recirculation. The LCD readout lets technicians check rack temperature at a glance without opening the cabinet or attaching external probes. RoHS compliance confirms the assembly meets restricted-substance requirements. The two-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The package includes the 3U fan tray, a digital temperature sensor, a 12 V DC power supply with a 6 ft cord and NEMA 1-15P plug, rack-mounting hardware and the owner's manual. No extra parts are required for standard 19-inch rack installation.

Which version should I choose for a 3U 19-inch rack running on 120 V mains?

This single model SRFAN3UDCTEMP is built for a 3U high, 19-inch wide rack and operates from 120 V AC at 60 Hz via the supplied NEMA 1-15P plug, so it matches those exact requirements.

What does the 169 CFM rating mean once the tray is installed in my rack?

The two extra-quiet fans deliver up to 169 CFM of airflow through the 3U space, helping to cool servers and switches while the LCD shows real-time temperature at the top of the rack.
