Compact Wi-Fi 7 Access Point

The Ubiquiti U7 Lite is a ceiling-mounted wireless access point that delivers Wi-Fi 7 connectivity through a 2.5 GbE uplink. It supports over 200 concurrent clients and provides indoor coverage up to 115 metres. Management is handled via UniFi Network version 9.0.114 or later and the UniFi OS mobile applications.

Suits small offices and homes needing Wi-Fi 7

This unit fits deployments that want a low-profile indoor AP with 2×2 MIMO on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Buyers who require 6 GHz operation, more than four spatial streams, or a larger physical footprint for extended range should consider other models in the range.

Handles 200-plus clients across 115 m²

The radio reaches a peak PHY rate of 4.3 Gbps on 5 GHz using 240 MHz EHT channels and 2.4 Gbps on 2.4 GHz with 160 MHz HE channels. Maximum power draw is 13 W from a 42.5–57 V DC source. The 2.5 GbE port and dual-radio design set the practical throughput ceiling for high-density environments.

Questions about this item

Do I need a PoE injector or switch that can supply 42.5—57V DC to power the U7-LITE-US?

Yes, the access point requires 42.5—57V DC and draws up to 13W, so a compatible PoE source is necessary.

Can I uplink the U7-LITE-US to my existing 1 GbE switch without a bottleneck?

The unit has a single 2.5 GbE RJ45 port; connecting it to a 1 GbE switch will work but limits the uplink to 1 Gbps.

How do I verify the U7-LITE-US is operating correctly after installation?

In the UniFi Network application (version 9.0.114 or later) the device should show a white or blue system LED and report connected clients with throughput up to the stated MCS rates.
