The v AV Access 4KEX40-eARC is an HDMI 2.0 extender kit that transmits 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video up to 40m over a single Cat 6a/7 cable. It uses HDBaseT 3.0 technology to deliver uncompressed UHD video, audio, IR control and power between transmitter and receiver units. The kit is designed for home theater installations requiring long-distance signal distribution without compression.

40m range with HDR and lossless audio

The extender handles 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 signals with HDR formats including HLG, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision across the full 40m distance. It supports eARC and ARC audio return, passing PCM 7.1 192KHz, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos and DTS-X when both source and display support eARC. Signal quality remains uncompressed throughout the link, but the 40m limit is fixed by the HDBaseT 3.0 specification.

Single-cable PoC simplifies installation

Power-over-cable lets one adapter at either the transmitter or receiver power both units, reducing outlet requirements. Bi-directional IR and CEC passthrough allow remote control of the source from the display side or the display from the source side. The system works with standard Cat 6 or above cabling and requires no drivers or software, but it does need an HDMI 2.0 source and a compatible display to achieve the stated performance.
