4K HDMI Extender Set

The v AV Access 4KEX60-H2 is a transmitter and receiver pair that sends HDMI signals over a single Cat 6, 6a or 7 cable. It delivers 4K at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling and HDR support. The kit includes IR emitter and receiver cables for remote control passthrough.

Installers needing 4K up to 35 metres

This extender suits integrators who must bridge 35 metres at 4K 60 Hz or 50 metres at 1080p 60 Hz using standard category cabling. It is not for installations requiring longer 4K runs, fibre-based transmission or dual-display distribution from one source.

Fits rack or wall mounting with PoC

Slim brackets and screws allow surface or rack mounting of both units. Bi-directional power-over-cable means only one 12 V supply is needed at either end, freeing an outlet at the remote display. RS-232 pass-through adds control-system integration without extra wiring.

Questions about this item

Do I need a Cat 6 or better cable to reach the full 35 m at 4K 60 Hz?

Yes, the extender requires Cat 6/6a/7 cable to transmit 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 up to 35 m; Cat 5e only supports 1080p at that distance.

Will my older 1080p display work if I keep it at the far end of a 50 m run?

The receiver outputs 1080p@60Hz over Cat 5e/6/7 up to 50 m, so a legacy 1080p screen will function normally at the maximum distance.

How can I verify the link is passing 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 after I connect everything?

Check the LED indicators on both units for a solid link light, then confirm the source device reports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 in its display settings.
