System Overview

The Velztorm Pilum is a pre-built gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 128GB DDR4 RAM and a dual-drive layout of 2TB NVMe SSD plus 2TB HDD. Windows 10 Pro is installed and a 750W power supply drives the components.

Buyer Fit

This system suits players who want a ready-to-game tower with high memory capacity and fast primary storage. Buyers who need Bluetooth connectivity will need a separate adapter. The 802.11n wireless link is slower than modern Wi-Fi standards, so users who rely on fast wireless throughput should plan for a wired Ethernet connection or an upgraded card.

Deciding Specification

The installed graphics card is an RTX 3070 with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. That frame-buffer size sets the practical ceiling for texture-heavy titles at 1440p and 4K. If your workload demands more video memory, this configuration will not meet it.

Questions about this item

Will the 750W power supply support my existing PCIe 3.0 add-in cards?

The 750W unit delivers enough headroom for the RTX 3070 and leaves capacity for additional PCIe 3.0 cards you keep.

How do I confirm the 128GB DDR4 is running at full speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, click Memory and verify the speed shown matches the rated DDR4 frequency.

Does the box include a DisplayPort cable for the RTX 3070 or must I buy one?

The system ships with the 120mm AIO liquid cooler, Wi-Fi antenna and power cord; a DisplayPort cable is not included.
