The unit also supports adjustable loud ringing and background music playback from an external source. It suits facilities needing a dedicated paging zone with music mute during announcements.

Telephony integration and power

The amplifier provides 36V talk battery for connection to an FXO or unused analog line input and trunk port. A selector switch enables compatibility with FXS or PABX and Centrex station ring trip ports as well as a 600 ohm paging port. Built-in voice activation takes control when the phone system lacks a paging contact closure. Automatic disconnect on CPC, busy signal, silence or timer prevents system lock-up after a page ends.

Flexible audio routing

An external music source connects for background music that mutes automatically during a page. Adjustable loud ringing can be triggered from an independent analog FXS, PABX or Centrex station or from a dry contact closure. These features let the single unit handle paging, ringing alert and music distribution without additional modules.
