What it does and who needs it

This 2×2 HDMI matrix routes two sources to two displays independently or mirrors one source across both screens. It suits installers running a projector and a monitor in a meeting room, or a home-theatre owner sharing a console and a streamer between a TV and a second display.

Behaviour under sustained load

The unit handles 18 Gbps TMDS bandwidth with a 600 MHz clock continuously, keeping 4K 60 Hz YUV 4:2:0 stable during long presentations or movie marathons. HDCP 1.4 handshake remains reliable across both outputs, and the 600 mA draw at 5 V stays consistent without thermal throttling between -15 °C and 45 °C.

Build, connectors and daily use

A compact black metal chassis houses two HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, all supporting deep colour up to 48-bit and LPCM 7.1 audio pass-through. Front-panel buttons give instant local switching while the included IR remote lets you change routing from the seating position without walking to the rack.

Questions about this item

How much power does the matrix draw when running all day?

It draws up to 600 mA from the DC 5 V supply, so heat and fan noise are negligible.

What cables and power source must I already have to use it?

You need two HDMI source cables, two HDMI display cables and a DC 5 V power adapter.

Will it pass 4K 60 Hz HDR to my older 1080p projector on one output while keeping 4K on the other?

Yes, each output scales independently, so one display can receive 3840×2160 at 60 Hz while the other gets 1080p.
