Adapts a 2280 M.2 NVME SSD to 2013–2017 Apple MacBook Air and Pro models using a passive PCIe x4 riser card
This adapter set converts a 2280 PCIe x4 M.2 NVME drive to the proprietary connector used in MacBook Air models A1465 and A1466 and MacBook Pro models A1398 and A1502 from 2013 through 2017. The package contains ten identical riser cards measuring 23 by 14 millimetres. No controller chip sits between the drive and the logic board, so the SSD runs at its native speed without extra drivers.
Technicians servicing multiple vintage MacBooks or users upgrading several machines at once benefit from the ten-unit quantity. The adapter requires macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later and a USB installer created with version 10.13.6; the drive must be formatted APFS. Buyers needing only one adapter or who cannot meet the operating-system and formatting requirements should look elsewhere.
The card provides a straight PCIe x4 connection from the M.2 NVME drive to the Apple socket without signal conversion. This passive design means performance depends entirely on the installed SSD and the host MacBook’s firmware support for NVME booting.

No published specifications for this item yet.
The adapter measures 23 by 14 mm and accepts a standard 2280 M.2 NVME module, so the drive sits directly on the board without extra brackets.
The adapter passes the drive’s native PCIe x4 lanes straight to the MacBook Air or Pro slot; no conversion chip limits the link speed.
Each card is 23 mm by 14 mm and plugs into the existing proprietary SSD connector, requiring no additional mounting hardware.
