Connects U.2 NVMe SSDs to PCIe 3.0 x4 slots via SFF-8639, supporting Intel 750, P3600 and P3700 drives at 4 GBps
This adapter kit connects U.2 SFF-8639 NVMe SSDs to a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot via an included Ultra M.2 card and Hyper Kit storage controller. It is designed for builders adding enterprise-class U.2 drives such as the Intel SSD 750, P3600 or P3700 to a desktop or workstation mainboard.
Confirm the mainboard provides a free PCIe 3.0 x4 electrical slot and that the target SSD uses the SFF-8639 U.2 interface. The kit includes a Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 connection on the controller side, so the drive and cable must match that connector type.
The PCIe 3.0 x4 link delivers up to 4 GBps bandwidth, allowing the attached NVMe SSD to maintain high sequential transfer rates during extended workloads. Thermal performance will depend on the drive's own design and the chassis airflow around the installed card.

The kit provides the SFF-8639 NVMe PCIe adapter, a Hyper Kit storage controller and an Ultra M.2 card in one package.
The same adapter works with the Intel SSD 750, p3600 and p3700, so no separate version is required.
It indicates the maximum throughput the adapter can deliver over a PCIe 3.0 x4 connection.
