RCA to HDMI conversion for legacy sources

The WRIARICH converter accepts composite CVBS video and stereo audio through three RCA sockets and delivers an HDMI signal at 1080p or 720p. It is aimed at owners of older consoles, VCRs, DVD players or set-top boxes that only provide yellow, white and red outputs.

Check your source and display before ordering

The sending device must expose composite video and analogue audio outputs in the standard RCA arrangement. The receiving screen or capture device needs a free HDMI input capable of 1080p or 720p at 60 Hz. The converter draws power from a USB port, so a spare USB socket or charger is required.

Connects between analogue source and digital display

A single USB cable powers the unit, leaving no need for an external mains adapter. The box translates PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N signals to progressive HDMI output, freeing the user from hunting for a legacy SCART or composite input on modern televisions.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the RCA and HDMI cables or only the converter and USB power lead?

The package supplies the converter unit and a USB charging cable for power; the three RCA cables and an HDMI cable are not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I select the 1080p or 720p output mode for my display?

Choose 1080p/60Hz for modern TVs and monitors that accept full HD; select 720p/60Hz if the screen only supports 720p or if the source material is standard definition.

Will the 1080p/60Hz output look sharp when upscaling a PAL source?

The converter upscales PAL, NTSC3.58, NTSC4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N composite signals to 1080p/60Hz, so standard definition content is scaled to full HD resolution at 60 frames per second.
