Converts composite RCA video and audio to HDMI at 1080p or 720p 60Hz with USB power
This WRIARICH adapter converts composite RCA video and audio into an HDMI signal for modern displays. It accepts yellow, white and red RCA inputs from sources such as older consoles, DVD players, VCRs or cameras. The unit outputs at 1080p or 720p at 60Hz and draws power through an included USB cable. It is suited for anyone connecting analogue AV equipment to a TV or monitor with only HDMI inputs.
Passive cables cannot convert the analogue composite signal to digital HDMI and will not work on most current screens. This active converter handles NTSC, PAL, SECAM and regional variants including PAL/M and PAL/N, then scales the picture to 1080p or 720p at 60Hz. The jump is worth it when the source device only provides composite output and the display lacks analogue inputs.
Connect the three RCA plugs to the source device and the HDMI plug to the TV or monitor, then supply power via the USB lead to any 5V port or charger. The converter requires no drivers and adds no software configuration. It frees up the need for a legacy AV input on the display and lets older hardware run on current screens without an intermediate upscaler box.

The converter has one RCA input with yellow, white and red connectors and one standard HDMI output; the source must provide composite video and the display must accept HDMI.
Power comes from the included USB charging cable; the step often missed is plugging that cable into a live USB port or charger before expecting a picture.
Input accepts PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N; output is fixed at 720p or 1080p at 60 Hz.
