A USB-C hub adding three USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet jack for wired networking on compatible laptops
This adapter adds three USB-A 3.0 ports and a 1000 Mbps RJ45 jack to any USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 laptop. It targets users who need wired networking and legacy peripheral support on thin-and-light machines such as MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 13 or HP Spectre x2. No driver installation is required on supported systems.
The grey aluminium shell acts as a heatsink while resisting flex during daily carry. A reversible USB-C connector inserts either way up, and the slanted edges reduce sharp corners. Three downstream USB-A sockets run at 5 Gbps and remain compatible with USB 2.0 devices such as mice, keyboards or flash drives.
The single upstream link caps total throughput at 5 Gbps, so simultaneous high-speed transfers on multiple ports will contend for that pool. Ethernet performance reaches 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps depending on the network infrastructure, but the hub cannot exceed the USB 3.0 ceiling. Buyers needing dedicated 10 Gbps lanes or additional video outputs should look elsewhere.

The three USB-A 3.0 ports share a 5 Gbps ceiling, so the combined throughput of attached drives, mice or keyboards cannot exceed that figure.
A single USB-C socket is required; the compact aluminium body sits beside the port without blocking adjacent connectors on MacBook Pro, Dell XPS 13 or listed models.
Insert the USB-C plug, connect an RJ45 cable, and the 10/100/1000 link negotiates automatically — no driver install is needed, but the Ethernet cable must be fully seated to click into place.
