128GB DDR4 ECC LRDIMM kit for 13th Gen PowerEdge

This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR4 2400 ECC load-reduced DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930 rack servers. It targets administrators who need maximum registered capacity on these 13th Gen platforms. The modules are not compatible with desktop or laptop systems that require non-ECC unbuffered memory.

Tool-free DIMM installation

Each 288-pin module seats in the standard DDR4 slots without tools, but the server manual dictates exact channel and slot order for quad-rank LRDIMMs. Mixing LRDIMMs with registered DIMMs is not supported; all installed modules must share the same ECC type. Speeds can be mixed, yet the system will clock down to the slowest module present.

Steady 1.20V operation under continuous load

The kit runs at 1.20V with CL17 latency, maintaining the rated 2400 MT/s throughput during sustained workloads such as virtualisation or database services. Load-reduced buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, helping stability when all channels are fully populated. No heat spreader is fitted, so adequate chassis airflow is required for prolonged operation.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 128GB kit is running at DDR4 2400 with ECC LRDIMM after installing it in a PowerEdge R730?

Check the BIOS memory configuration or run the Dell System E-Support Tool; it will report 2400MHz speed, CL17 latency, 1.20V voltage, 4Rx4 rank and ECC Load Reduced status for each of the four 32GB modules.

What ships with the NE-MS-0026 kit and what else is required to reach 128GB in a Dell PowerEdge R630?

The box contains four 32GB 288-pin DDR4 LRDIMM modules — nothing else is needed to populate four slots for the full 128GB capacity.

Which version should I choose for a PowerEdge R930 that already has ECC Registered DIMMs installed?

Do not mix ECC Load Reduced with ECC Registered; select this 4Rx4 LRDIMM kit only if you will replace all existing modules so every slot uses matching Load Reduced memory.
