  • 32 GB capacity lets Dell PowerEdge 13th Gen rack servers handle heavier workloads
  • ECC load-reduced design protects data integrity in R430, R530, R630, R730, R830 and R930 systems
  • DDR4 2400 MHz speed with CL17 latency delivers responsive performance for virtualisation and databases
  • Quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation maximises density per 288-pin DIMM slot
  • 2 V operation reduces power draw while maintaining server stability

Dell 13th Gen PowerEdge ECC LRDIMM

This 32GB DDR4 2400 module is built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers including the R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 and R930 families. It uses a 288-pin LRDIMM form factor with ECC and load-reduced buffering to meet the strict memory requirements of these platforms.

Load Reduced ECC DDR4 2400 constraints

The module operates at 2400MHz PC4-19200 with CL17 latency at 1.20V. Load Reduced ECC modules cannot be mixed with Registered ECC types in the same system; all installed DIMMs must share the same ECC type. If faster or slower DDR4 modules are added, the memory bus will run at the speed of the slowest module.

32GB quad rank capacity headroom

A single 32GB 4Rx4 module delivers high density for virtualisation, database and compute workloads on supported PowerEdge chassis. The quad-rank x4 organisation maximises capacity per slot, but the total memory ceiling is defined by the server model's maximum DIMM count and the memory controller's rank limit per channel.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32GB single module or add multiple modules for my Dell PowerEdge R730?

Each module provides 32GB in a 4Rx4 quad-rank configuration; adding more modules increases total capacity but the system will run at the speed of the slowest installed module.

What does the 2400MHz PC4-19200 rating deliver in a live R630 server?

The module operates at DDR4 2400 with CL17 latency and 1.20V, providing ECC load-reduced error correction for stable throughput in 13th Gen rack servers.

Does the 288-pin DDR4 LRDIMM interface cap memory speed or rank mixing on an R930?

The 288-pin DDR4 LRDIMM slot accepts this 4Rx4 module at 2400MHz; ECC load-reduced and ECC registered modules cannot be mixed, and speed is limited to the slowest module installed.
