64GB DDR4 2400 ECC LRDIMM Module

This 64GB DDR4 2400 ECC LRDIMM module is built for Dell PowerEdge 13th Generation rack servers including the R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 and R930. It runs at 2400MHz with CL17 latency and 1.20V operation. The quad-rank 4Rx4 load-reduced design helps increase total memory capacity in supported server configurations.

Suitable For Dell PowerEdge Servers Only

This module suits administrators expanding memory in the listed Dell PowerEdge R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 or R930 servers. It is not for desktop or laptop systems that require non-ECC unbuffered memory. It also does not fit servers that accept only registered DIMMs or that cannot support load-reduced quad-rank modules.

4Rx4 Load-Reduced Quad-Rank Design

The single specification that decides compatibility is the 4Rx4 load-reduced ECC design. Dell PowerEdge 13th Generation servers must support LRDIMM quad-rank modules to use this part. Mixing with registered ECC DIMMs is not supported and all installed modules must share the same ECC type for correct operation.

Questions about this item

Which Dell PowerEdge servers must I already own for this 64GB DDR4 2400 ECC LRDIMM to work?

This module is designed for 13th Gen Dell PowerEdge rack servers including the R430, R530, R630, R630 XL, R730, R730 XL, R730xd, R730xd XL, R830 and R930.

How does this 4Rx4 Load Reduced module behave alongside older Registered DIMMs I may keep in the same server?

ECC Load Reduced and ECC Registered modules cannot be mixed; all installed modules must share the same ECC type for the system to operate correctly.

How can I tell the module is running at its rated 2400MHz CL17 after installation?

The server BIOS or operating system memory reporting will show the module operating at DDR4 2400 (PC4-19200) with CL17 latency when configured properly.
