128GB DDR4 ECC LRDIMM Kit for Dell PowerEdge

This 128GB kit contains four 32GB DDR4 2133MHz ECC Load Reduced DIMMs built for Dell PowerEdge 13th generation rack servers. It targets administrators upgrading R430, R530, R630, R730, R730xd, R830 or R930 platforms that require registered ECC memory. The modules operate at 1.2V with CL15 latency and use a 288-pin form factor.

Quad Rank 4Rx4 Architecture Decides Compatibility

Each module is organised as 4Rx4 quad rank x4, a Load Reduced design that reduces electrical load on the memory bus. This rank structure is the single specification that determines whether the kit will work in a given slot population. Mixing these LRDIMMs with standard Registered DIMMs is not supported and will prevent the system from booting.

128GB Capacity Handles Heavy Virtualisation

The 128GB total capacity comfortably supports dense virtualisation, large in-memory databases and multi-tenant container clusters on compatible PowerEdge chassis. Headroom ends when the server's maximum DIMM slot count or memory controller limit is reached; beyond that point additional modules cannot be added without a platform change.

Questions about this item

How much usable capacity does the 128 GB kit provide once installed in a compatible Dell PowerEdge server?

The kit contains four 32 GB modules, giving a total of 128 GB of ECC Load Reduced memory when all four are populated.

What DDR4 standard does the PC4-17000 rating correspond to, and what speed will the memory run at in a 13th Gen Dell PowerEdge?

PC4-17000 denotes DDR4-2133; the modules operate at 2133 MHz with CL15 latency at 1.20 V in supported R430, R530, R630, R730, R830 and R930 systems.

What physical slot and form factor are required to fit these 288-pin LRDIMMs in a Dell PowerEdge rack server?

They require standard 288-pin DDR4 DIMM slots; the quad-rank 4Rx4 Load Reduced design fits the memory channels of the listed 13th Gen PowerEdge models.
