ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming PC

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White desktop is a new gaming PC built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor at 3.8GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 16GB GDDR7. It includes 128GB DDR5 memory, a 1TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD, and an 850W power supply. A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermals.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This system suits gamers and creators who want a ready-to-play Windows 11 machine with high memory capacity and dual storage tiers. Buyers who need a smaller chassis, a lower power draw, or a different CPU socket should look elsewhere. The 850W supply and liquid cooler target sustained high-load scenarios.

The spec that decides fit

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700X AM5 CPU defines the platform; if your workload or upgrade path requires a different socket or core count, this is not the right part. The RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 GPU sets the graphics ceiling for 4K gaming and GPU compute. The 128GB DDR5 across four slots fixes the memory ceiling.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler in the GX601 require?

The 360 mm liquid cooler fits the GX601 chassis with a triple-fan radiator mounted at the front or top, needing 360 mm of unobstructed length plus room for tubing bends.

How is the 360 mm liquid cooler installed, and what step do builders often miss?

The cooler arrives pre-filled and mounted; the step people miss is connecting the pump header to the CPU_FAN connector and the three radiator fans to SYS_FAN headers so speed curves work.

What maintenance will the 360 mm liquid cooler and 850 W power supply need later?

Check the radiator fins for dust every six months and verify pump noise stays low; the 850 W PSU fan should be blown out annually, but the sealed loop needs no refill.
