Built for harsh environments

The DELL Latitude 5424 Rugged is a new 14.0-inch laptop engineered to withstand tough conditions. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 6MB cache and speeds up to 3.60 GHz. The system includes 16GB DDR4 memory and dual M.2 solid-state storage totalling 256GB plus 1TB.

Field workers and gloved use

This unit suits professionals who need a durable touchscreen that works in direct sunlight and can be operated with protective gloves. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles general business visuals but is not intended for heavy 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads. Buyers who want more storage or discrete graphics should look at something else.

Check your peripherals and power

Verify that your external displays connect via HDMI or DisplayPort and that USB 3.0 or USB Type-C devices match the available ports. A serial port and RJ-45 Ethernet are also present for legacy or wired needs. Confirm the included Dell OEM charger meets your regional voltage requirements before deploying in the field.
