Dell Latitude 5590 14.0" Business Laptop

This Dell Latitude 5590 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor. It runs Windows 11 Pro with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 256 GB M.2 plus 1 TB secondary SSD. The 1920 x 1080 IPS non-touch display and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handle everyday office work.

Suits mobile professionals needing two internal

The dual SSD arrangement gives separate volumes for system and data without an external enclosure. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics or a 32 GB memory ceiling should look at something else. The single 8 GB module is not user-expandable beyond the factory configuration shown.

Straightforward deployment with standard ports

Windows 11 Pro arrives pre-installed so the machine is ready for domain join or Intune enrolment. Connectivity covers HDMI, DisplayPort over USB Type-C, three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, RJ45, VGA and an SD slot. The optional Thunderbolt controller and SIM tray are not guaranteed on every unit.

Questions about this item

Does this Latitude 5590 need a Thunderbolt 3 dock to drive dual external monitors?

It has HDMI and a USB-C port with DisplayPort output, so two monitors can be connected without a Thunderbolt dock.

Will my existing USB 3.0 Type-A peripherals work at full speed on the three USB 3.1 Gen1 ports?

Yes, the three USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports are backward compatible with USB 3.0 devices at 5 Gbps.

How can I confirm the dual-drive storage is recognised after first boot?

Open Disk Management in Windows 11 Pro; you should see a 256 GB M.2 drive and a 1 TB secondary drive both listed as healthy.
