Rugged 14 build and display

The Dell Latitude 5424 is a 14.0-inch rugged laptop built to military-grade standards for harsh environments. It features a toughened direct-view FHD touchscreen with 1920 x 1080 resolution, readable in direct sunlight and usable with gloves. The chassis uses specialised materials and undergoes high-cycle performance testing. An optional hot-swap bridge battery supports extended field use.

Field workers needing durability

This unit suits professionals who require a device tested for drops, vibration, and extreme temperatures. The 10-point touchscreen works with protective gloves for outdoor workflows. Integrated GPS and optional LTE 4G keep teams connected in remote areas. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering or gaming should look elsewhere, as the Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles only basic visual tasks.

Quad-core i7-8650U with dual SSD storage

The 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U processor runs four cores with 8 MB cache and speeds up to 4.20 GHz. It pairs with 16 GB DDR4 memory and two M.2 solid-state drives totalling 512 GB and 1 TB. This combination delivers responsive multitasking and separate volumes for system and data. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.
