Built for field work

The Dell Latitude 5424 Rugged is a 14-inch laptop designed to operate in harsh environments. Its chassis passes military-grade testing for vibration, shock and extreme temperatures. A 10-point touchscreen works with gloves on and stays readable in direct sunlight. The system ships new with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and a Dell OEM charger.

Suits mobile professionals; not for heavy GPU loads

This machine suits field engineers, first responders and survey crews who need a durable, daylight-readable device with glove-friendly touch input. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office applications and mapping software but cannot drive 3D rendering, modern gaming or compute-intensive video editing. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance should look elsewhere.

Dual M.2 SSD storage

Two M.2 drives provide 512 GB and 1 TB of solid-state capacity for fast boot, quick application launch and ample local data storage. Both slots are occupied in this configuration, so future expansion requires replacing an existing drive. The Quad-core i7-8650U with 8 MB cache and 16 GB DDR4 memory keeps everyday workloads responsive.
